Location
Hayfellside Barn is ideally situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of the busy market town of Kendal. It lies between the beautiful rugged landscape of the Lake District and rolling fells of the Howgills.

Converted from an original Lakeland barn in 1989, Hayfellside Barn retains some original features whilst providing high quality, homely accommodation and generousbreakfasts. From the dining room and guest lounge area there are magnificent views of the coast, Lake District Mountains and Fells. |
Rooms
Hayfellside barn offers a twin, double or family room.
All of our rooms include tea/coffee making facilities, television and hair dryer; ironing equipment is available on request. All rooms are fitted with blackout curtains to assit a good night's sleep.
Each reservation has private facilities, consisting of a washbasin and toilet in either a shower or bath/shower room.

Meals
The importance to guests of a good breakfast is not missed here at Hayfellside Barn. A full cooked English breakfast is included, vegetarian and other options are also available. the dining room offers expansive views across the surrounding countryside for a more relaxed meal.
Although Hayfellside barn holds no liquor licence, wine provided by guests can be chilled.

some meals may contain nuts and no guarantees can be made to guests who suffer from allergies. Special dietary needs can be accommodated for, however, it is requested that notification is given prior to arrival.

Walkers & Cyclists
Hayfellside Barn offers an ideal location for those interested in outdoor pursuits.
A short distance from Kendal, the gateway to the Lake District, it offers easy access to popular walking destinations. Situated in the valley of the River Kent, Hayfellside Barn is surrounded by beautiful, green countryside.
For cyclists it offers an ideal stopping point along the Walney to Wear, or W2W, route (Regional route 20 of the National Cycle Network). This route includes the Lake District, Pennines, Low Fells and Lune Gorge and Hayfellside Barn offers a fitting resting place for weary travellers.A secure room is available to store cycles, and outer clothing can be dried inn the event of unwelcome weather! |
How to find us
Hayfellside Barn is easily accessible by car, cycle or train. The West Coast main line can be found just 1 mile away, and is connected by a plentiful taxi service.
There is a limited bus service connecting to the Kendal terminus which provdes links to the national network and all local market towns.

| By car, Hayfellside barn is just five minutes from Junction 37 of the M6 motorway. Take the A684 to Kendal - do not follow signs for New Hutton, but continue along the A684. Immediately after the 15 mph speed limit signs to the left take a left turn, signposted Oxenholme Station. You are now on Hayclose Lane and Hayfellside is the first turning on the left. |
