Apart from the usual pleasures of the Devon seaside, a wide range of other activities can be enjoyed in the area including cycling, fishing, boating, birdwatching and, as this is the Jurassic Coast, fossil-hunting.
Heading inland, you can travel on the charming Seaton tramway, through two nature reserves by the river Axe, to Colyton. If you love walking you will find many interesting lanes and paths - The Undercliff, with its strange geology, is only a mile away.
Axmouth has a church and two public houses - 'The Harbour Inn' serves excellent food and drink - just right for a refreshments stop.
A relaxing stay is just a 'phone call away.
