A warm welcome awaits you at the Hendre Farm House where the present owners family (Mrs. Pam Baker) have lived since 1885.

The house is set in the beautiful border countryside of England and Wales overlooking river meadows and sheep dotted hillsides.

We also have our own campsite with spacious camping facilities, Shower & Toilet Facilities. Breakfast is by prior arrangement only or The Rickyard Bunkhouse is right next to us.

Located on Offa's Dyke, the historic border between England and Wales in Roman times. The Hendre is an ideal place to stay if walking the dyke or to explore the surroundings.

Within 1/2 hour of the farm is the Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley, Tintern Abbey, the Brecon Beacons, Chepstow, Hereford and Raglan. Old world charm is combined with present day comfort to ensure that your stay is enjoyable.

We are the only 5 star farm accommodation in Wales as graded by the Welsh Tourist Board, we are inspected yearly. We have ample parking here at Hendre Farm House. Children are more than welcome here, we have a new play area in the garden to keep the little ones busy.

Accomodation & Facillities

Our Accomodation is all furnished to 5* standard and inspected by the welsh tourist board.

We have available..... Single Rooms, Twin Rooms, Double Rooms and Family Rooms. All rooms are ensuite. Cots are available on request.

All rooms are to the highest of standards, they all have colour tv and tea & coffee making facillities.

The Hendre Farm House is a NO SMOKING establishment. Pets by prior arrangement ONLY, no exceptions will be made.

Home cooked meals are taken in a spacious dining room overlooking the large garden and farming countryside.

Where adults can relax and children play in safety.

All Tariffs are including a full breakfast with home made preserves and free range eggs.

A Non - Refundable deposit of £20 per room is required at the time of booking.

Local Info

Hendre Farm House is situated in open country next to the Sugar Loaf and Black Mountain range.

Peace and tranquility can be found on this working farm bordered by "Rolls" golf course in picturesque Hendre with Offa's Dyke path running past the gate.

The Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and Forest of Dean are all very close. An ideal base for exploring Monmouthshire.

Directions to The Hendre Farm House

From the main street in Monmouth, proceed over the new monnow bridge.

Turn right At the roundabout, go straight over

Take the B4233 through Rockfield and onto Hendre Village

Take the 1st turning left after the Golf Course for 1 1/2 miles

Hendre Farm House is situated on the left hand side.
