The proprietors for over 25 years, Elsie Corke and Bill Massey extend a warm welcome to old friends and first time visitors to High Trees Guest House.

Assisted by Elsie's daughter Linda, our manageress, we will do our best to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Please note that this is a non-smoking establishment.

High Trees is at the end of an Edwardian terrace, within a conservation area. We are very centrally situated, close to the town centre (very convenient for popping back in with those bargains from the shops), and just a short walk through Steyne Gardens takes you to the seafront and pier.

Within a few minutes walk are the Pavilion and Connaught Theatres, the Denton Garden, and the Beach House Park with championship bowling greens. The Museum and Art Gallery, the Library and the Assembly Hall are also within walking distance.

There are bus stops, shops (including newsagents), as well as cafes and restaurants, very close by, also seats and benches where you may sit and watch the world go by.

There are separate tables in the dining room where we serve a full English Breakfast.

Breakfast 8.30 - 9.00 am

We do not have a bar, and are not licensed, but guests may bring in a drink to have in their room.

We have seven bedrooms, tastefully decorated and furnished they are kept clean and well maintained (this is our home too!). There are single, double and twin bedded rooms on the first floor, all of which have en-suite facilities. There are two standard bedrooms on the second floor; one single and one double. We also have one single bedroom on the ground floor with washbasin and toilet.

All bedrooms have washbasins, shaver points etc, as well as colour television andd tea/coffee making facilities.

Towels are provided, and are changed frequently.

There are toilet, shower and bathroom facilities on the first floor, and a toilet on the second floor.

We do not have family rooms and cannot offer any special facilities for small children.

There are hair dryers available, as are an iron and ironing board for guests' use.

Guests also have use of a payphone.

We have a comfortable lounge where guests meet old, or make new, acquaintances. There is a small selection of books and magazines for those quieter moments.
