Your hosts Mary Clewley and Struan McIntosh, extend a warm welcome to their Victorian Bed & Breakfast home. Hillpark House has been sympathetically restored retaining many of its attractive original features and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can unwind and enjoy a special bed and breakfast experience, at the end of a busy day. Ideally situated for golf in St Andrews, the city of Dundee or the wonderful beach at Kinshaldy and Tentsmuir Forest, all of which are just a ten minute drive. Kingsbarns is 15 minutes and Carnoustie just over half an hour. Bedroom accommodation is larger than average and furnished in keeping with the period, offering total comfort with many little added extras and bedrooms have either en-suite shower room or adjoining private bathroom. Each room has colour television, VCR, hospitality tray (with a wide range of beverages including, fruit and herbal teas, ground coffee or drinking chocolate) & electric blankets. Shaver points, hairdryers and converters for most European and American electrical items are also available. There are four guest bedrooms. A large, sunny twin/family room with additional sofa bed and en-suite shower room (pictured above). There is a large quality travel cot. Our light and airy double room also has an en-suite shower room. The popular 5ft double room has an adjoining private bathroom - its principal feature being the original Victorian canopy shower/bath - an experience not to be missed! Finally we have a spacious single room with en-suite shower room. Whilst relaxing with a cup of tea you can peruse a wide selection of tourist information, or quietly read a book in our elegant guest lounge. We are more than happy to help you find the right restaurant or help plan the next day's journey.Breakfast is an important part of your stay at Hillpark House. In fine weather you can enjoy our conservatory overlooking the garden. Whether eating in the dining room or in the conservatory be assured that we use local produce where possible. Try our local honey, home-made preserves and bread and choose from an extensive menu including our full Scottish breakfast - grilled bacon, locally produced pork sausage, baked tomatoes, etc...alternatively, smoked haddock, tasty kippers, or for those with a sweet tooth, our special recipe of delicious pancakes or crepes and maple syrup is extremely popular. We cater too for special diets and vegetarians. There is always a choice of cereals, a selection of creamy or natural yoghurt, fresh fruit compote and cheeses available.
