WELCOME
Holly House welcomes guests who require luxury accommodation combined with lovingly prepared home cooked food in a warm, friendly and homely environment.
Originally built some 300 years ago, the house has been lovingly restored and extended and now forms a stunning family home with all the original oak beams and fireplaces. It is surrounded by open fields and large Norfolk skies. An ideal base for walking, cycling or just 'chilling out'.
We are ideally located for visitors who wish to explore Norfolk or Suffolk . Within an hour's drive you can be on the dramatic north Norfolk coast - visit Her Majesty the Queen's Norfolk home, Sandringham - 'shop till you drop' in Norwich, just 16 miles distance - sailing on The Norfolk Broads - birdwatching at Titchwell, Cley Marshes and Minsmere - golf at Dunston Hall. Just a few minutes away is Banham Zoo, Bressingham Steam Museum and The Otter Trust and for car racing enthusiasts, Snetterton race circuit is close by. For lovers of all things equine, the ILPH (International League for the Protection of Horses) Headquarters are within walking distance.
Visit Suffolk's ancient Saxon burial site, Sutton Hoo or the beautiful unspoilt old English villages of Lavenham, Long Melford, Clare and Cavendish - time capsules of Tudor England and before. Bury St Edmunds, with its magnificent cathedral is steeped in history and its cathedral gardens are well worth the visit.
ACCOMMODATION
All our bedrooms are of a very high standard. Tastefully decorated and furnished.
Each have colour TV - tea/cafetierre coffee making facilities - miniature fridges with mineral water and fresh milk - radio/alarm - hair dryer, and bath robes.
All bedrooms have crisp co-ordinating bed linen and plenty of soft pillows. The bathrooms and shower rooms are provided with soft Egyptian cotton towels and complimentary quality toiletries.
As we ran a successful restaurant a few years ago, we appreciate fine quality freshly cooked food and we always pride ourselves on good presentation. Not only is the food first class, (which we source as much as possible locally), but so is the ambience. Our dining room will not disappoint. For evening dining we set the table with fresh damask cloths, crystal and silverware, plus candlelight to complete the atmosphere. At breakfast the same (except the candles!!!)
POLICIES AND TARIFF
To enable the rooms to be prepared properly, incoming guests are requested to arrive after 4pm.
This allows us to shop for the freshest produce.
Departure times for guests is by 11am.
As we have dogs of our own, we cannot accommodate pets.
Facilities for young children are also limited.
A non-refundable deposit of £20.00 per room per night is required to confirm the reservation and booking is essential.

This includes a full English breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea on arrival.
Evening meals are available by prior arrangement.

Guests may provide their own wine which we will be happy to chill and serve.
Vegetarians are catered for but please advise in advance. Specialist dietary requirements can be accommodated but not guaranteed.
