Having served as the Village Blacksmith’s Forge since 1728 until recent times, this unique listed building has now been skilfully and sympathetically converted into Horseshoe Cottage.

Whilst retaining its old world charm it is fully equipped to a very high standard for the convenience and comfort of two guests.

Fully carpeted and centrally heated by guest regulated radiators, the accommodation provides sitting room with remote control colour TV, radio, Variflame stove fire, tasteful soft furnishings with period furniture, dining area; all with a wealth of exposed timbers, leading to an open plan kitchen including oak fitted units with fridge, washing machine/tumble dryer, full electric cooker and a microwave.

The gallery bedroom provides carved oak double bed, built in double wardrobe, airing cupboard and other storage space. Whilst the adjoining Victorian style bathroom offers WC, hand basin and bath with electric shower incorporated.

Approached via a gravelled driveway from the village street and providing private parking for one vehicle, the cottage is set in one and a half acres of well maintained grounds.

The ancient village of Oddington, with it’s XI Century Church, lies approximately two miles from Stow-on-the-Wold. The Cottage is two minutes walk from the famous Fox Inn, offering a comprehensive menu and renowned countrywide. It is an ideal centre from which to explore the beauty of the Cotswolds, whether by car or on foot.

Special rates apply for Christmas, New Year, Easter and also Cheltenham National Hunt Racing Festivals.

Short Breaks are sometimes available during Low Season, at £135 for 3 nights (minimum).

All prices are inclusive of linen, towels, lighting & heating.

CHANGEOVER DAY IS FRIDAY, 3pm-4pm unless by prior arrangement.
