Brian and Sheila welcome you to their Georgian farmhouse dated 1635 - 1751, standing in its own grounds with garden and orchard, 50 yards back from the road.

Adjoining the house we have 14 acres of pasture on which we keep a small flock of Pedigree Suffolk sheep.

"A peaceful retreat" is how one guest described Hullerbank, where we hope our guests feel welcome, comfortable, relaxed, and "at home".

The house is comfortable and tastefully decorated throughout, it has full central heating and an open fire in chilly weather. The lounge has a colour television, as well as reading matter and tourist information on local places of interest. A pay telephone is available for the convenience of guests.

Separate from the lounge is the dining room, wheregood traditional breakfast is served.

Packed lunches are available by arrangement.

The 3 bedrooms have private facilities.

One double-bedded room with private bathroom.
Two twin-bedded rooms with ensuite shower, toilet and washbasin.

All rooms have colour TV, electric underblankets and shaver points as well as Tea/coffee making facilities. A Hair Dryer is available on request.

Hullerbank is situated in unspoilt countryside ideal for visiting Hadrian's wall, the nearest location being within 15 minutes drive. Talkin Tarn Country Park is well known for its lovely walks, sailing. Course fishing, boating and wind surfing and is within 1 mile, as is Brampton Golf Course.

The River Gelt boasts trout fishing and beautiful woodland walks; 2 miles away is the R.S.P.B. reserve of Geltsdale.

The Lake District and Scottish Borders can be reached within 1 hour.

HOW TO FIND US

Hullerbank is approximately 3 miles south of the small market town of Brampton near the picturesque village of Talkin, about 9 miles east of Carlisle.

Guests using the M6 motorway, exit at Junction 43, taking the A69 to Brampton.
From Brampton follow the B6413 (Castle Carrock Road) for about 2 miles and after crossing the railway and passing Brampton Golf Club, turn left to Talkin.
Leave the village on the Hallbankgate road and follow the signs to Hullerbank (1/2 mile).
