Hunstanton is also known as Sunny Hunny and is a seaside resort that is of the West Coast of Norfolk. It became popular in the 1860s and is known for its beautiful sunsets. Hunstanton has maintained is Victorian elegance while become a popular place to spend the holidays and is fun for the entire family.

Visitors can also walk the beautiful promenade completely to the next town of Snettisham. The colorful and full gardens are backed up against the shore. In the gardens you can play a fame of pitch and put or bowls. You can also find one of the many sitting areas and just soak up the sunshine.

Hunstanton offers the regular coastal activities such as a Road Train ride around town or a donkey ride on the beach. You can also enjoy a sea buggy ride up and down the coast. There is also a indoor leisure center, a nice theater, a swimming pool and Sea life center.

Hunstanton has something to offer the entire family. It has a spectacular array of activities that are surrounded by the towns friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Its beaches are kept clean by a local council and have a mix of sand, stone and very little mud when the tide is low.

The cities cliffs rise more than 60 ft. above the beach and run for nearly three-fourths a mile. They have a magnificent coloring of red and white lime mixed with streaks of carstone. The best place to view the coloration is near where the 1841 lighthouse is at the north end of Promenade. The lighthouse was operational until 1921 when the light was finally extinguished.

At their base lay fine sandy beaches and rock pools. The seafront host a yearly fair complete with rides, doughnuts and candyfloss. Even thought the cliffs are on the east coast in reality they face west which makes them perfect for sunsets. Edward VII loved to visit them to soak up the sea air when he was Prince of Wales. He also called Hunstanton home while recovering for the typhoid fever.
