Liverpool has a wonderful array of fine buildings and architectural masterpieces, like St George's Hall and the famous 'three graces' on Liverpool Waterfront. Only London can boast more listed historic buildings than the city. As the birth place of the Beatles, former haunts have become a Mecca for fans worldwide and a host of attractions are available for visitors, such as the Magical Mystery Tour, International Beatle Week, The Cavern Club, The Beatle Story, 20 Forthlin Rd and Mendips.

Liverpool still has a major impact on the current music scene with groups such as the Lightening Seeds, Cast, Space, Atomic Kitten and Mel C regularly appearing in the Charts. A range of venues showcase live music regularly, such as the Picket, the Masque, The Lomax and L2, not to mention the Royal Court Theatre which attracts larger bands.

Many people visit the city for sporting reasons - Liverpool FC has a visitor centre that is well worth a visit and Everton FC has ground tour every other day. Aintree Racecourse, home of the Grand National Steeplechase also has a visitor centre where the 'Grand National Experience can be tried.
Entertainment abounds in Liverpool and one can usually find entertainment to your taste in one of the city's 5 theatres or even a classical concert at the Philharmonic Hall.
