In central England you will find the city of Kenilworth. The population is believed to be around twenty four thousand residents. It is located roughly ninety miles northwest of London. The Kenilworth Castle is the cities best known attraction. The medieval castle was constructed by John of Guant and was visited later by Elizabeth I. It posses a man made lake that protects 3 sides of the castle. For a minimal cost you can get a tour of the castle.

Just off Coventry Road is The Parliament Piece. A field that is believed to be there Henry III held parliament in August 1266 while his troops attacked the castle. In the castle Dimon de Montfort's followers were being led by Henry de Hastings to fight of the King's troops.

Robert Dudley was visited at Kenilworth Caste many times by Queen Elizabeth up until 1575. She was entertained by Dudley with £1,000 per day banquets and pageants. They worked a diversions for the Queen and surpassed anything England had ever seen before.

Elizabethan Garden is also another beautiful attraction in Kenilworth. It was built for Queen Elizabeth for her visits. You can visit these gardens and feel the royal presence. The garden is the home to no only plants and flowers but beautiful terraces, arbors, aviary and a fountain.

Beginning in 2005 the popular Kenilworth Festival has been held each year by the Kenilworth Rotary Club. There are several museums with in close range that visitors can enjoy. Such as the Midland Air Museum, Lunt Roman Fort Museum and the Herbert Art Museum among many more.
