The Kings Arms Hotel lies in the attractive coastal village of Ballantrae on the main A77 road, 11 miles south of Girvan, and 17 miles north of Stranraer, and is convenient for the Cairnryan and Stranraer Irish ferry terminals.

The hotel is ideally placed for touring both Ayrshire and 'Bonnie Galloway', with many tourist attractions including Alloway & Burns' Cottage, Culzean Castle, Castle Kennedy, numerous Ayrshire golf courses, Port Logan Gardens and The Mull of Galloway within easy reach.
