The Lancaster lies on The Promenade within easy walking distance of the town centre, readily distinguished by its attractive pseudo - Tudor exterior. Next door to the easily seen, red granite cathedral of St. Columba, on the northern end of the bay.

The interior has been appointed to a high standard offering guests a wide range of facilities including Lounge and Cocktail bars, Resident's Lounge and leisure facilities.

From its public rooms can be seen the magnificent view of Oban Bay with the Islands of Kerrera, Lismore and the more distant peaks of Mull in the background.

All bedrooms, some of which have sea views, have private facilities, Tea/Coffee makers, Colour Television, Intercom and Baby Alarm, Trouser press, Electric Blankets, Heating, Razor Sockets and Full Length Mirror. Dogs are welcome except in Public Rooms.
