Lavender Cottage is a delightful character property part dating back to 17th Century enjoying a tranquil and peaceful location one mile from the old market town of Ross-on-Wye.
There are fine views from the bedrooms looking towards Bridstow Church, and May Hill, Ross Church spire stands our clearly against a backdrop of Chase Woods, with Goodrich Castle and the Forest of Dean beyond.
It has easy access to the beautiful Wye Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with its lovely walks, beauty spots and historic towns and churches.
Amenities close by include golf, fishing, canoe and cycle hire.

Tariff

Bed & breakfast for two in a twin or double room.

£40.00 per room per night (£45.00 for one night booking). Including full english Breakfast.

We have one twin and one double room. Both have en-suite toilet and washbasin.

Our other twin room has a washbasin.

There is a main bathroom with toilet, bath, shower and washbasin, solely for guests use.

The twin room with washbasin used as a single room.

£25.00 per night (£30.00 for one night booking) including full English breakfast.

Evening meals are £12.00 per person.

We serve the evening meal at 6:30pm. As we are not licensed guests may feel free to bring their own tipple.

Your room will be available .from 3:30pm on your day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:30am on your departure day.

The house is closed from 10:30am until 4:30pm.

We accept cheques or cash, I am sorry we do not have the facilities for credit or debit cards.

Lavender Cottage is a non smoking house.

Directions

M50 from Midlands
From M50 take the Ross by pass signed A40, at the next roundabout straight over, next roundabout with PB petrol station on the left), Wilton roundabout turn right on to the A49 towards Hereford, after 200 yards turn right by the school signed Golf Course and Foy, go past church, at the top of the hill you will come to Wye lea, (a long green hedge with wide grass verge), slow down as you need to turn left on the bend, we are the second house down the lane on the right.If you get to the golf course you have gone to far, turn round and turn right on the bend.

A40 from London or M4
Take the A40 from London to Ross go through Ross Town over the old river bridge, at Wilton roundabout, with petrol station on left) go straight over on to the A49 towards Hereford and then follow as above.If using the M4 get off at the junction after Membury services at Swindon, take the 417 and 419 then follow the signs for Ross then follow as above.

A49 from Hereford
From Hereford on the A49, after the sign for bridstow take the 3rd left turn, (under the big green road sign) Signed to the golf course then follow as above, if you miss the turn go to the roundabout and come back up the A49.

From Monmouth and Wales
A40 to Wilton roundabout turn left on to the A49 towards Hereford then follow as above.
