The Limes is a Georgian style house built in 1827. It has been a Guest House since 1976, and is well known both locally, nationally and abroad, with many visitors returning year after year. Major refurbishment has been carried out in recent years.

We took over The Limes Guest House in August 2006, after having owned and run Fairfield Guest House also in Montrose for the previous 15 years.

The large resident's lounge is warm and inviting where you can make use of television, video recorder and DVD player. There is also a selection of board games and books for your use. If you prefer to sit and enjoy the garden there is a conservatory where you can relax with your book.

We have a private car park for your use, on street parking is also available, secure storage for golf clubs and bicycles. is also available.

Rooms

The twelve en suite rooms are all furnished to a high standard and attractively decorated. All rooms have remote controlled television, fridge, hairdryer and hospitality trays with a choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. All areas of the house and the conservatory are non-smoking areas.

The en suite bathrooms all have walls in attractive respatex colourswith power showers. Soap, shampoo and hair conditioner are all supplied.

Rates

We have twelve rooms available of varying sizes. All rates quoted are per person and include a full Scottish breakfast. Single Room from £35.00. Double or twin sharing £27.50 per person. Rates for Family rooms will depend on age of children, each family room can sleep 4 people, a travel cot is also available.

Menu

The large airy dining room, accommodates 22 people, and a highchair is available for our young guests.

Grilled bacon, beef or pork sausages, baked beans, tomatoes, hashbrowns, blackpudding, kippers and choice of eggs either fried, poached, boiled , scrambled or omelette.

Special diets can be catered for - you only have to ask.

Directions

Montrose is accessible in many ways.

You may fly into Aberdeen from all other major cities in the UK or why not fly from london City into Dundee.

By road :

COMING FROM THE NORTH... follow signs to town centre. Take second left after swimming pool onto King Street and you will find The Limes 50 yards on the left.

COMING FROM THE SOUTH... follow signs to town centre. Come straight through town centre, and take second right after passing through the lights in the narrow part of the street.
