Lindum House is a carefully restored Victorian Gothic building set in the leafy Arboretum area overlooking the park. It was built in 1864 by William Bell who built a successful lace business in Cheap Side in the Lace Market area of central Nottingham.
He named the house 'Lindum' after the Roman name for the city of Lincoln where he came from before taking part in the golden age of Victorian commerce in the 1850's.
Lindum House is set within a large walled garden and although only five minutes walk from the city centre it benefits from ample secure off-road parking. |
The rooms are either en suite or have a private bathroom and all are equipped with a hospitality tray, cable TV and hairdryer. All have access to ironing facilities.
The House retains many of its original decorative features from the carved external stonework to the ornate ceilings and wooden panelling. |
Nottingham is served by excellent road, rail and airport connections. It can easily be accessed via junctions 24, 25 and 26 of M1.
East Midlands airport is close to junction 24 of the M1 and Birmingham airport is less than one hours drive away.
The main railway station close to the city centre is less than two hours train journey from London.
Tram service from Railway Station. This stops just 100 yards from Lindum House. |
