The Lion & Swan is a 16th Century Inn conveniently situated in the attractive market town of Congleton with a newly refurbished lounge and restaurant creating a contemporary feel without losing its traditional features.

Our 21 en suite bedrooms are decorated and feature all modern amenities.

Our lounge, bar and restaurant is open to residents and non residents alike featuring a wide selection of real ales, lagers, wines & spirits.

Our restaurant which is open Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner seven days a week serves an eclectic selection of dishes freshly prepared in house using locally sourced fresh ingredients.

The Lion & Swan Hotel has conference and banqueting facilities catering for up to 120 with a sit down meal for up to 80.

A variety of functions are catered for including conferences, training courses, weddings, formal dinners, buffets and cocktail parties.

Rooms can be arranged in a variety of layouts to suit your occasion, be it boardroom style for that high powered meeting or classroom style for seminars and lectures.

The Cheshire Suite is 36ft by 30ft and the Bereton Room is 18ft by 18ft.

The Lion & Swan Hotel is licensed to conduct civil marriage ceremonies and is the ideal place to celebrate your special day.
Complete wedding packages are available and our experienced and committed team are available to offer any advice you may require to ensure the success of your special day.
We can assist with the seating arrangements and prepare table plans if required to ensure the comfort of every guest.A complimentary bedroom is offered to the Bride and Groom following the celebrations and rooms are, of course, available to family and friends at a discounted rate.

Occasions

The Lion and Swan is open all year round, so no matter what the occasion you can relax and enjoy a seasonal meal in style.
We have menus from Valentines Day to Mothering Sunday and Easter Sunday to Christmas Day. So there's no need to worry about any lengthy meal preparations just leave that to us. If you're having a party of your own be it a 30th Birthday or a Diamond wedding anniversary we can tailor our menu to suit your needs.
We also host Christmas and New Years Eve parties either for your business or for your family and friends.
