As part of one of the largest areas in all of England, Littlehampton most assuredly carries more than a little clout in the grand scheme of things. To be fair, the actual population of Littlehampton, if one wants to be very particular and precise about it, is a little under thirty thousand but it is this greater Brighton/Worthing/Littlehampton conurbation that truly gives one a sense of the scope and scale of this area. Put together this district has over half a million residents.
Brighton and Worthing are no doubt beautiful, relevant, and lovely towns but a strong case can be argued for Littlehampton being the most desirable and pleasant of these areas. For one, Littlehampton is filled to the brim with exciting and fun diversions owing to the fact that it is a seaside resort town. Littlehampton Port brings in tons of income for the town because of the many yachts and pleasure crafts that dock up at the famed pier. Even to this day the Port is being continually refurbished with more mooring so that the supply can meet the demand.
It isn't just water adventures that draw people to Littlehampton each year, however. To be sure, much of the entertainment that makes Littlehampton so beloved is actually found in town rather than on the lovely coastline. Each year Littlehampton holds a bonfire procession that is sponsored by the Littlehampton Bonfire Association. This exciting event consists of a raging bonfire and a stellar, topnotch fireworks show that fills the night sky with visual treasures galore. Those looking for a deeper visceral experience need only look to the many theatre troupes found in Littlehampton. The Stagedoor Theatre Company, for instance, puts on fantastic shows all year round while the Musical Comedy Society is perfect for those with less discerning artistic tastes. The Players Operatic Society strikes the perfect balance between the two and thus a music lover, a theater purveyor, or simply an entertainment junkie will all have an amazing time when visiting Littlehampton. The town is also the home for the annual LA Pebbles On The Beach festival. This is a strictly music affair and some of the brightest and most popular bands around come to the festival to help contribute to the great cause: All proceeds from this yearly event go to various charities. In addition, the month leading up to the festival is filled with similar events that help to further the charitable contributions. Naturally, there are plenty of fantastic resorts and top of the line eateries in Littlehampton as well. The night life is state of the art with nationally famous pubs offering up libations to visitors and residents alike. By all accounts Littlehampton truly has something to offer everybody no matter what their personal preferences. If you and your loved ones have been considering a visit to one of England's many beautiful seaside resort towns this year it is highly recommended that you at least consider Littlehampton as a viable option. It may become the smartest decision you have ever made.
