Surrounded by hills overlooking the beautiful Vale of Clwyd stands Llainwen Ucha - a farm with unrivalled views of such splendour! The Nearest town is medieval Ruthin, which boasts its own castle, craft centre and livestock market, together with many indigenous shops and fascinating architecture.
Energetic visitors will be keen to walk Offa's Dyke which traverses the Clwydian range and provides spectacular views of the Welsh coastline and Snowdonian National Park in the distance, whilst the keen gardener will appreciate the world famous Bodnant Gardens.
Fishermen are well catered for in the nearby Bala Lake and Llyn Brenig as well as our local rivers.
A mere 8 miles away is Llangollen. "The land of song" as it is sometimes called - other attractions are a canal which is spanned by the Pontcysllite Aqueduct built by Thomas Telford; a steam railway and Play Newydd the home of the ladies of Llangollen from 1780 until 1829.
Relics of our fiery history abound with castle in Langollen, Rhuddlan, Conwy, Denbigh and Boddelwyddan to name a few.
For the family holiday the coast is a necklace of seaside resorts with Rhyl (just 20 miles away) as the main attraction - sun centre, fun fair and Europe's largest fun pool.
The City of Chester, with its unique medieval Rown, outstanding shopping facilities, City walls and zoo offers visitors our rich heritage.
On arrival at Llainwen Ucha a typical Welsh welcome immediately envelopes you and the farmhouse cooking, using fresh local produce, has to be sampled to be believed. The accommodation is of a high standard comprising one double bedroom with double bed, family bedroom with three single beds and one single room all of which have views of the magnificent hills. There is a lounge downstairs equipped with television for residents' use but with all the above on offer, we can't see you spending much time inside watching the television.

From Ruthin towards Wrexham on A525 travel 4 miles; AFTER Llysfasi College immediately turn SHARP LEFT. 1 mile up this road 2nd farm on the RIGHT.
From Llangollen on A542 or Wrexham on A525 turn RIGHT at Gatehouse, then LEFT at signpost and LEFT AGAIN at next signpost (to Pentrecelyn). At houses, turn left on to un-made road - house on RIGHT at top of the hill.
