Loch Lomond, Argyll and Bute is the kind of town that people love to visit over and over. There is so much to do there that you can not get it all done in just one trip. Located just three kilometers from Glasgow Loch Lomond is the largest city in Scotland. Not only does it have the largest surface area but Loch Lomond Lake is the 2nd largest body of water in Britain.

Loch Lomond it a great place for nature lovers to vacations. It has several national parks. It also is the home to a park called The Trossachs. This 1865 sq. kilometer park is the 4th largest national park in the British Isle.
If you are a golf fanatic then Lock Lomond is the perfect place for you. It has several prestigious golf courses. Loch Lomond is home to the Internationally renowned Loch Lomond Gold Club which host members from over 30 countries in its elegant setting and also offers a spa. There is also the The Carrick next to the Lomond Club which is Scotland's newest premier golf course and has been designed to stay in position with the near by national park to give it breathtaking scenery.
With all the bodies of water in the area it is no surprise that boating, water sports and other water activities are a favorite pastime to the area. People come from all over to enjoy cruising, speed boating, kayaking, jet skiing, wind surfing or to simply go for a swim.
Getting around in Loch Lomond is easy to do. They have a very popular ferry transportation system that services the mainland districts of Mull. Islay, Gigha, Tiree, and Bute. It also services Port Appin in Lismore and Seil both in Luing and Easdale. There are rail, bus and air services to easily transport you to the surrounding cities. Oban Airport is conveniently located just around the corner from Loch Lomond in the city of North Connel.
