Farmhouse accommodation is provided in our converted stables.

We have 3 rooms on two levels, each room is a beautifully appointed studio apartment with bathroom or wet room and small cooker, fridge and sink. The stables on the ground floor are suitable for disabled access.The rooms are comfortable and spacious.

Breakfast is served in the dining room of the 17th century farmhouse or on sunny mornings under the shade of the Silver Birch on our lawn.

Parking is adjacent to the accommodation or in the Nursery car park and access via the garden and nursery.

The accommodation is ideal for anyone interested in garden visiting, good food, culture, cycling and walking or business. We are located on the Somerset Dorset border 13 miles from the coast, 7 miles from Yeovil, 3 miles from A303 and 16 miles from Lyme Regis. The scenery in the area is very beautiful and peaceful. There are villages built of ham stone, best among them Hinton St George, Barrington, East Coker, small market towns such as Crewkerne, Ilminster and Chard.

Garden

The area has long had a tradition of market gardening and the word 'nursery'(noresire) was used just up the road in the village of Merriott in the 14th century. The name 'Severalls' apparently refers to the land being partitioned into enclosures and was one of the first areas to be so divided in England.

Nursery

The nursery (est.1985) specialises in Herbs and Herbaceous Perennials.

The plants for sale can all be seen growing in the garden which acts as a stock bed for the Nursery. We have some exciting new varieties of Iris, Lavenders and Geraniums this year.

We offer a personal service to visitors being available to help with advice and plant selection.

The Garden at Lower Severalls was featured in Gardens Illustrated and has opened for National Gardens Scheme for over 25 years

Lower Severalls Nursery specialises in herbs and herbaceous perennials and is a recommended nurseryby the Royal Horticultural Society.
