Lyne Farmhouse
has magnificent elevated panoramic views overlooking Stobo Valley. Built in around 1850 with Georgian feature it has a large colourful walled garden.
The working farm is mixed and extends to 1300 acres. Rising from the Lyne River to the top of the Meldon Hills 1350 feet above sea-level, the hills can be accessed from the old drove road from the farm for hill-walking and the picnic areas next to the Meldon Burn.
Myself and John are delighted to welcome new visitors and many returning guests to enjoy the seclusion of an area in the heart of so much activity and splendour. |
Lyne Cottage
accommodation comprises a very large and well equipped kitchen with dining area, spacious lounge, and large bedroom with double and single bed, second double bedroom and bathroom downstairs.
Upstairs comprises a twin bedroom and also a single bedroom (4 bedrooms in total). |
Also Lyne Roman Fort
and the site of early Christian graves (Abbey Knowe, see picture above) situated near Lyne Kirk (church) are all located on the farm.
The beautiful Border town of Peebles is only 10 minutes (4 miles) by car from Lyne Farm. It has a wonderful selection of high quality shops and lovely walks along the Tweed River. There is a good variety of eating places to choose from including Scottish, Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine. |

Guests are welcome to enjoy the walled garden and walk around the farm to look at the animals. We are a mixed farm, with cows, sheep and some horses.

Self-Catering Cottage
Lyne Cottage is open all year. Prices from £300 - £400 per week, also last minute breaks available. from £17pppn (minimum 2 nights stay).
Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday: arrival time from 3pm onwards, departure time 10am. A £50 deposit confirms your booking, to be received as soon as possible.
On arrival collect key for Lyne Cottage from farmhouse and pay full amount. |
