Mallard Cottage is an attractive Grade II listed building, situated within a five minute riverside walk of the historic heart of the city of Winchester. Our guests can expect to find a warm welcome and comfortable Self-Catering accommodation as part of our family home. The cottage and riverside garden are non-smoking throughout. We welcome babies and children but regret that we cannot accommodate pets.

The bedrooms offered as guest accommodation provide tea/coffee making facilities, TV/Video, radio alarm clock & hairdryer. Dressing gowns and slippers. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Hand towels and bath sheets. Bed linen and duvets or blankets.

Both bedrooms have views over the garden to the River Itchen and Wolvesey Castle and the Bishop's Palace beyond
Guests may also make use of the peaceful riverside garden and summerhouse with heating and light.

There is a patio with table chairs and sun unmbrella where you can eat al fresco on those warm summer mornings and evenings.

Tariff

Bed and Breakfast tariffs are based on four or five night occupancy and include traditional English or Continental breakfast. A vegetarian menu is available.

Self-catering tariffs are seasonally based on one week's occupancy for up to four people + cot.

There is a fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen including dishwasher, refrigerator, electric oven, ceramic hob & microwave. The lounge/dining room has a LCD flat screen television and DVD player, radio, dining table and chairs, and shelves of games and books, brochures and videos on Winchester and the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is use of a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and airer, shopping trolley and large umbrellas should it rain.
