The Miami Hotel is family owned and run business since 1964, with three generations currently working together. The convenience of excellent overnight accommodation with international cusine in the annexed Glades Restaurant, quiet drink in the Retreat Bar, well appointed Function Rooms with all conference acilities available "under one roof" are enjoyed by many businesses who continue to use this Business Centre. A "first choice" for those who ensured the success of their Meeting by making an early reservation. Glades Restaurant is full licensed and offers a varied menu plus a la carte cusine seven days a week, both lunch time and evening. Glades can cater for a variety of occasions and corporate events, offering a selection of menus and buffets to suit your requirement, along with an extensive wine list. The Saturday night dinner dances are extremely popular with young and old alike.The Retreat Bar is open seven days a week under normal licensing hours, with an extension for residents until midnight. There is an extensive bar menu offering hot and cold snacks at reasonable prices. There are 55 bedrooms all double or twin sized, let as single as required. All have en-suite facilities, colour television, cable television, hairdryer, tea/coffee refreshment tray and early morning call telephone. Your favourite newspaper can be ordered at reception. There is a non-smoking lounge in the hotel for the comfort of our guests and non-smoking rooms are available on request, subject to availability. Extensive on-site car parking is available for both guests and visitors. The Miami offers a range of Conference Facilities, catering for parties of all types and sizes. Most are fully air-conditioned with natural daylight. The suites offer a variety of sizes depending on your needs. There are fax and photocopying services available. Various in-house equipment is available for hire. Other audio/visual equipment can be obtained on request. Please telephone, fax, or call in to discuss your needs. Where to find us From London & M25: Leave the M25 at Junction 28 and take the A12 towards Chelmsford. From the A12 take the A414 sign-posted Chelmsford/Harlow, after about 2 miles go straight over the first and second roundabouts, at the third roundabout take the second exit, the Miami Hotel is situated on the far right. From Colchester: Take the A12 towards Chelmsford. Turn off left - sign-posted Chelmsford A138. Take the third exit off the roundabout and straight over the second roundabout. Follow all signs (going across more roundabouts and traffic lights) for the A138 labeled Chelmsford, Brentwood and London. When you reach large roundabout (Army & Navy) take the third exit (straight over) sign-posted London A12. Keep going straight along this road - Tesco Store on the left. Miami Hotel just past Tesco slip road on the left hand side. From the North: From the M11 take the exit for Chelmsford A414. Follow this road through following signs for Chelmsford, taking 2nd exit at each roundabout. You will come to a large roundabout with a Church on the right-hand side and the Megabowl on the left, at this roundabout take the first exit turning left. Proceed to the next roundabout taking the 2nd exit, turning right over the bridge you will see the Miami Hotel on the far right. By Train: LONDON LIVERPOOL STREET STATION to Chelmsford Station. Take the overland train from Platform 11. 12. 13 or above (please check correct platform number on day of travel) The journey will take approximately 35-45 minutes to Chelmsford.
