Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in beautiful, quiet surroundings.
The Mill House is an eighteenth century miller's house, set on the banks of the delightful river Elk, which is a tributary of the Dee. The Elk forms the Wales/England border, as it meanders through our garden in this delightful, undisturbed valley.
Wales Tourist Board inspected. 3 Star rated.
 
Accommodation
The fully modernised accommodation offers a choice of double or twin rooms, with some en-suite facilities. Each room has its own television. Every spacious room is beautifully appointed with tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, central heating and double glazing. There's a pay phone and a large TV lounge with open log fire. Evening meals are available by arrangement.Children are welcome

The Granary
Fully Equipped Self Catering Accommodation in beautiful, quiet surroundings.
Bungalow, set in the grounds of Mill House, The Granary was converted to high quality accommodation in the 1980's. It provides fully self contained, centrally heated, self-catering accommodation for four/five people.
 
Accommodation
The Granary has two bedrooms (one twin and one double), shower room, separate WC, fully fitted kitchen area with microwave. Dining and lounge areas with colour TV. The Granary is ideal for families. A cot and high chair are available. All bed linen and towels are provided. The oil-fired central heating is inclusive. Electricity is by slot meter. There is also a payphone.

The historic walled City of Chester and famous Town Tours of Shrewsbury. Chester Zoo is one of the best in Britain. There's the Boat Museum at Ellemere Port, the Industrial Heritage Museum at Ironbridge Gorge and the Railway Experience at Crewe.
The Lakes at Ellesmere provide boating and wildlife and there's more boating and fishing on the Llangollen Canal, Golf at Hill Valley and Hawkestone Park, Walking on the Sandstone Trail and Maelor Way.
Then there's The Steam Railway at Llangollen. At Nantwich there's an underground Centre of Government from the Cold War, known as the Secret Bunker.
If it's adrenalin you're after try Real Rally Car Driving and Tuition at Shropshire Rally School or Karting at Deeside.
For garden lovers there is much to choose from, with splendid examples at hodnet Hall, Cholmondeley Castle, Woollerton Old Hall and Dorothy Clive. There's the National Trust at Erddig and Chirk Castle.
At the Blue Planet Aquarium you glide through shark infested waters on a moving walkway, while at Acton Scott you can watch traditional farming using horses…

How to find us
From the Whitchurch By-Pass take the A41 North, signposted for Chester. After ½ miles, fork left on the B5395 signed for Malpas. After ½ mile, turn left beside a bus shelter into a country lane. Mill House is exactly 1 mile on the left. |
