Millstonford Bed and Breakfast, Largs

We are proud of our garden and with its ponds, summer house and patio, our visitors find it ideal for relaxation with panoramic views over the countryside and towards the Clyde.

A truly Scottish welcome awaits you.

West Kilbride is a typical Scottish Village lying on the Ayrshire coast with wonderful views of the Island of Arran. In recent years the community, with the help of a local family, has developed empty shop premises into bases for craft workers.

The towns of Largs, Saltcoats and Irvine are easily accessed whilst Ayr, Prestwick and Troon are only a little further afield.

Our house is close to the A78 between Largs and Saltcoats. Five small roads leave the A78 and are signposted West Kilbride.

You should take the B782 which is marked by the Forget Me Not bench on the corner. Once on the B782 you should turn immediately left onto a farm road which runs down to the main house.

Please park and turn in the main house drive way.

There is a strong Burns culture in the area and visiting Alloway is a pleasant way to while away an afternoon. For the golfers amongst you this area will be a delight and Stewart would be happy to offer you advice from his considerable knowledge of Scottish courses.

Walkers have the choice of coastal and hill walks each with their own special unsurpassed scenery and fishing is popular with both sea and freshwater venues close by. A number of large country homes and their estates are now accessible such as Culzean and Kelburn. For those of you with Welsh connections, or a love of the arts, then Mount Stewart on Bute is an absolute must to visit.

A cycle path passes close to the house which leads to sandy beaches and the castles at Portencross and Hunterston. (We have cycles available if required).
