Our family run guest house conveniently situated within a five minute drive of Hastings town centre and seafront. All rooms are newly decorated and furnished to a medieval theme which runs throughout the house.
Minstrel's Rest is the perfect place for both holiday and business guests to relax and explore the historic sites of Hastings and the surrounding 1066 country.
Being just five minutes from the town and seafront comes with the added advantage of a peaceful and quiet environment, enabling a restful and tranquil nights sleep.
You also have unrestricted free parking on our drive and in our quiet road.
Our breakfast menu is varied, catering for all diets, using locally sourced produce and all home made jams and preserves.
Broadband internet access is freely available in all of our rooms and guests are welcome to bring their own laptop
We also offer Medieval Feasts where guests are provided with authentic medieval costumes for the night to enjoy a three course feast by candlelight.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served on a 17th Century Jacobean style solid English oak dining table.
It is accompanied with authentic handmade glazed pottery plates, cups, jugs etc for that extra special breakfast experience.
We provide a full cooked English breakfast as standard. Alternatively we can also provide vegetarian, vegan or most other dietary options as a special request prior to your stay.
Most of our produce is sourced locally. Our sausages are made by the local butcher, and our eggs are from free range chickens from the local farm. The tomatoes are straight from our garden during the season and all of our jams and marmalades are home made from strawberries, apples, loganberries, currants, plums and blackberries all of which are grown in our garden.
Medieval Feast
Why not live the full medieval experience during your stay at Minstrels Rest and indulge in a medieval feast. You will be provided with handmade authentic medieval costumes for the night, which you will find hanging in your room on your arrival. You will then be ready to partake in a three course medieval feast by candlelight, fit for a King.
