Moorgate Bed and Breakfast

Moorgate is a Victorian family house in Hathersage within the Peak District National Park. We have: - 1 Double room £20.00 per person per night 1 Twin room £20.00 per person per night 1 Single room £22.00 per person per night Each room has central heating, colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a shared visitor's bathroom, off road parking for 3 cars and vegetarians catered for. We are a non-smoking establishment and do not allow dogs. Moorgate is situated on the A6187, which runs straight through Hathersage. There are 5 pubs and 2 restaurants all within easy walking distance and all serve good evening meals. For those with cars there are also more pubs in neighbouring villages and Sheffield about 20 minutes away. There are also buses and trains from Hathersage to Sheffield.

The Larger Locality Hathersage is in the beautiful hope valley and within the Peak District National Park. It is an area which is excellent for touring, walking - short or long distances, climbing, off road cycling and golf and hang-gliding. Hathersage also has an outdoor heated swimming pool, open in the summer. Also at the Church of England Church there is "Little John's Grave" who was one of Robin Hood's merry men and was also born in the village. There are historical connections too with Charlotte Brontë who lived for a short while and taught in Hathersage. She used features of the village as a setting for "Jane Eyre".
