About Us
The farm is only 5.5 miles from Leominster, a thriving market town, with a couple of supermarkets. The City of Hereford is 17 miles south providing a wide range of shops and an abundance of interesting history. The famous Herefordshire Black and White Trail starts only three miles west of Leominster with a trail of country roads through medieval villages heading towards the Welsh border only 20 miles west.
The top of the farm drive provides panoramic views of over 60 miles, from the Brecon Beacons and the Skirrid in the south moving westwards to see the famous Black Hill towering over the market towns of Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye. To the west are The Radnorshire Hills and further to the north it is possible to see the Montgomeryshire Hills and the hills of South Shropshire.
Herefordshire is famous as a rural county providing all the peace and tranquility we all need for a happy and restful holiday. Good pub food is available within 3 minutes of the farm at the cosy Kings Head, with a la carte menus available from various pubs and restaurants slightly further afield. |
Bed and Breakfast
We offer cosy farm accommodation with one large double bedroom with ensuite shower room, a superking fourposter bedroom and double bedroom with shared bathroom. A family room is available upon request. Wifi is now available.
A farmhouse breakfast or lighter option is provided with optional evening meal available.
Well behaved dogs are welcome if arranged prior to arrival. We can also offer stabling if you wish to bring your horse to take advantage of the fabulous local rides.

Self Catering
Bluebell Cottage offers cosy farm accommodation with two double bedrooms and a sofabed to provide flexible sleeping arrangements. The cottage has a modern fitted open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room with Freeview TV and a shower room.
Well behaved dogs are welcome if arranged prior to arrival but please do not allow them upstairs (a gate is provided) or leave them unattended in the cottage . We can also offer stabling if you wish to bring your horse to take advantage of the fabulous local rides.
A welcome pack of essentials will be waiting for you and evening meals can be provided should you wish to take a break from cooking.
Our reasonable rates vary according to season. Please contact us for availability or if a shorter break is required. |
Camping
The farm hosts a small camping and caravan site registered with the Caravan and Camping Club.
We can now offer READY ERECTED TENTS for easy camping. Why not try a weekend under canvas, see if its for you. We can offer a large family tent (sleeps 5), plus cooking facilities with two gas rings, plates, cutlery etc. even a couple of wine glasses. just turn up and put the kettle on. We can provide an electric hook-up for the ladies hair straighteners, laptops etc. (I know you ladies need your home comforts). We can even offer you our superb home cooked breakfast including eggs, bacon, sausage and tomato all from here at the farm. Perhaps you've got a couple of friends yet to be convinced of the joys of a night under the stars, get them to try a taste of the outdoor life without the expense of buying their first tent. Just jump in the car, we are only 25 mins from J7 of the M5. We can also keep you warm and cosy with a super fire basket complete with grid for some proper outdoor style cooking, logs provided with the basket. Contact us for more details. Tariff £40 per night including a barrow full of seasoned logs and kindleing wood. Electic hookup is £3 extra.
There are newly refurbished ladies and gents shower and toilets on site, and the fishing lake is in view and only 100 metres away.
Bicyles and fire pits can be hired from the farm and there are fresh home produced eggs, bacon and sausages available to buy.
The site has electric hookups for 10 caravans, and is a quiet and peaceful place to stay for a break and within a short drive from nearby towns and cities.
Prices are based on an average size tent with a family of 4 from £12 per night with additional £3 per night for electrical hook-up and £2.50 per night for each additional person. Please enquire for prices of larger multi room tents. It is advisable to book for Bank Holidays.

Fishing
The fishing pool is around an acre in size with deep water. It is well stocked with several species including large specimen Common Carp up to 25lb and ample stock of smaller fish including some very healthy Roach, Rudd and Perch with the odd monster Rainbow Trout still in residence since the lake was created and stocked with trout in 1973.
There is room for 8 rods comfortably using barbless hooks and avoiding keep nets please! Rates are £6 per day.

Nicholson Farm is situated on the A44 between Leominster (5 miles) and Bromyard (6 miles). The turning to the farm is indicated by our sign.
