Welcome to The Old Court House, fine bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of Bowness on Windermere a leisurely 5 minute stroll form Bowness Bay on the shores of Lake Windermere.

The Old Court House, Windermere

The Old Court House is one of the oldest buildings in Bowness. It was built in 1843 as the Police Station & Jail and extended in 1858 to incorporate the Court House.

Very convenient situation in the lovely Lakeland village of Bowness on Windermere - The Old Court House is an ideal bed and breakfast holiday location, enjoyed by old and young alike and is a perfect base for sightseeing and touring around England's largest National Park.

Woodland walks, park & bowling green and of course the many attractions of Bowness including Restaurants, shops, cinema, theater, pubs, Lake Windermere and bus stops are all close by.

For the safety & comfort of all our guests, The Old Court House is a Non Smoking Guest House.All bedrooms have full en-suite shower rooms. Two are lovely "Four Poster" and we have a ground floor Twin and Double. They are tastefully decorated - bright, fresh and of course sparkling clean.

Each room is fully fitted and contains colour TV, complimentary Tea/Coffee trays, hairdryers and radio alarms.

Directions

From the M6 take junction 36 onto A590. Continue onto A591 till Windermere. Turn into Windermere village. Drive through the one way system towards Bowness (about a mile) as you arrive in Bowness the Old Court House is on the corner next to the cinema.
