Parking a car in Bath is both awkward and expensive and can waste a significant amount of your leisure time, as well as adding considerable cost to your stay in the city.
We are fortunate in being one of the few hotels so close to the city centre with off-street, private parking or complimentary on street permit parking available to all our guests.

Bath

Bath is a city for all seasons, whether sightseeing or shopping. It has long been famous for its Georgian architecture and Roman heritage, and in 1988 the city was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list as a site of global importance.Bath is also a perfect centre from which to tour the area, where you can find some of the most outstanding places of interest in England - north into the Cotswolds, south to Glastonbury and Wells Cathedral, east to Stonehenge and Salisbury, west to Bristol and South Wales. Some of the wonderful sites in Bath include the 18th Century Roman Baths, the Abbey, the Pump Rooms and Assembly Rooms, as well as Pulteney Bridge and the world famous Royal Crescent.

By Train -

From the M4

Exit at junction 18

Travel south on the A46 towards Bath. As you approach the city on a dual carriageway take the exit to Bath at the large roundabout with traffic lights.Then travel towards the city centre on A4 London Road. At the first main set of traffic lights after the Morrison store (set back on the left hand side of the London Road) turn left onto the A36 Bristol Road, A367 Wells and Exeter Ring Road. Proceed over Bridge, past the Fire Station (on your left) and at the traffic lights turn right signposted Bristol A36(A4) Wells A39.

Take the second exit at the next roundabout and follow the ring road straight on at traffic lights under railway bridge. Travel on through Widcombe Village, (follow road and stay in left hand lane) until you reach the large roundabout which is bisected by main railway line viaduct. At this roundabout take the first left onto the A367 (Radstock and Shepton Mallet). Oldfields is at the corner of Upper Oldfield Park, the first turning, half a mile on the right hand side.

From the A36 Warminster Road

Continue until you reach a large roundabout which is bisected by the railway viaduct. At this roundabout take the first left onto the A367 (Radstock and Exeter ). Oldfields is at the corner of Upper Oldfield Park, the first turning on the right

From the A4 Bristol and A39 Wells

The A39 joins the A4 at a large roundabout at the Globe Inn. Take the A4 to Bath along a dual carriageway and then take A36 (Lower Bristol Road) until you reach the railway viaduct as above

From Bath Abbey

Travel around the Guildhall, down Pierrepont St, Manvers St past station. Follow signs to A367 (Radstock and Exeter). Oldfields is at the corner of Upper Oldfield Park, the first turning on the right.

From the train station by foot

Exit station walking left along Dorchester St to end of buildings, go around building, over bridge, under viaduct, through subway and turn right. Go up hill and at end of handrail follow pavement to the right up the Wells Road. Cross Wells road at first pedestrian lights (aprox 50 metres) and continue up Wells Road for a further 150 metres (approx), follow round corner, Oldfields Hotel is n the right hand side with entrance gates straight ahead on the corner of the Wells road and Upper Oldfield Park.
