Joanne & James offer a warm welcome to their comfortable guesthouse situated in the Longdendale Valley, with magnificent views over Rhodeswood reservoir and just 500 metres from the Pennine Way.

A Walkers Paradise is on our doorstep with numerous walks of varying distances and difficulties there is something to suit everyone.

If you should wish to vary your holiday activities , we are situated 3 miles outside Glossop town centre from where a regular train service operates and you could be in Manchester in approximately 30 minutes.
Alternatively, you may like to drive out through open countryside, we are within easy reach of some of Derbyshire's best attractions, Buxton, Castleton, Chatsworth House & Haddon Hall to name a few.
We will do all we can to make your stay both comfortable and enjoyable, trying to meet all reasonable requests within the limits of our size and ability.

Where to find us

By Road:
From Glossop town centre (A57) take B6105 signposted Barnsley.
Proceed approx 3 miles where you will reach a bad bend in the road (Devil's Elbow).
Continue for another 500 yards and The Old House is situated on the left hand side 50 yards below the road.
