 | The Old Rectory is probably the best kept secret in Redditch. It has stood on this site for over 500 years and has close connections with the family of Sir Christopher Wren. |

A characterful house, it has been for the past 30 years a family run hotel offering superb service, discreet luxury and a relaxed atmosphere both to private and business users.

Set in its own rhododendron, Portuguese laurel, old oak, cedar, silver birch and weeping ash grounds, The Old Rectory has stood on this site in Ipsley for over 500 years, although the house was modernised in 1812 by the great grandson of Sir Christopher Wren, who lived here for forty years. Going back in time, Lady Godiva's son was Lord of the Manor; the Domesday book listed a building here and the original Roman built Icknield Street runs along one boundary of the grounds.

In this historic setting you will find a relaxed atmosphere coupled with the desire to look after you and make your stay memorable. Our approach is based on a quarter of a century's experience of welcoming guests to The Old Rectory. |

Bedrooms The bedrooms are all different shapes, sizes and colours - some with exposed beams, one with a barrel ceiling and all with private bathroom facilities, direct-dial telephone and Video/TV. Outside the rooms in the 17th Century connecting stable block, you can see the working mechanism of a one hundred-year-old clock.
