Welcome to The Old School Hostel and Bed & Breakfast.

We're situated in the village of Trefin not far from St. Davids, in one of the most beautiful corners of Wales.

The Hostel

Comfortable and characterful, we're not like a spartan hostel of old. There's free internet access, an extensive library and plenty of toys and games for the kids. If you'd like to self cater The Old School Hostel has a well equipped kitchen and there's all day access so you can come and go as you wish.

Looking for a Cheap and Cheerful Bed & Breakfast here in beautiful Pembrokeshire? Well, we're certainly cheap and we're usually cheerful!. Plus we use organic and fair trade and local produce as much as we can.Prices start at only £13 with singles from £24.
Outside the school summer holidays Doubles and Twins are £18 per person or less.

Group bookings

The Old School Hostel is a great venue for Groups of up to 20 looking for a base to explore Pembrokeshire.Perfect for walkers, cyclists, (we're on Sustrans Route 4, the Celtic Trail) or families and friends looking for an inexpensive hideaway near the sea.

Our Village

The hostel is in the attractive cliff top village of Trefin and it's only a short stroll to the pub which serves lunches and evening meals. The village also boasts the award winning Oriel y Felin cafe/gallery which won the 'Les Routiers' cafe of the year in 2007.

Pembrokeshire Coastal Path

The hostel and B&B is ideally situated for our wonderful wild and rugged stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. See our website for tips about a fabulous 3-4 day walk as recommended by The Lonely Planet guide to Wales which takes you from Newport or Fishgaurd to St. Davids.

The Area

The Old School Hostel is a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire. We're close to St. David's, Whitesands Bay and some stunning secluded beaches. Ideal for summer holidays, a week for a family of four with us is under £300 peak season.

Environmental & Ethical policy

The Old School Eco Hostel. We're one of the greenest places to stay in Wales! We recycle 90% of our waste, run on 100% renewable electricity, have got a 'Roly Pig' composter (don't ask) and sponsor the planting of a tree for every booking. Buy one (bed), Get one tree!
