Susan & Mark welcome you to Orchard House. Situated in the village of Twyford, 3 miles south of Winchester, Orchard House offers you relaxed, comfortable accommodation with ensuite facilities and an excellent breakfast!

Orchard House accommodation has been awarded 3 stars by the English Tourist Board. Susan & Mark have official certificates in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.

The village of Twyford has an excellent transport network, being only 2 miles from the M3, 15 minutes walk from Shawford station with links to London and regular services to Southampton, Portsmouth & Bournemouth. The village has a regular bus service into Winchester and it is an ideal location to explore the beautiful county of Hampshire.

Accommodation

Our accommodation comprises three recently refurbished light airy rooms. We have two double rooms and one twin. All rooms have ensuite facilities, breakfast table & chairs, TV, mini fridge and tea & coffee making facilities with fresh milk provided daily. In addition we have free wireless broadband internet access.

Breakfast is either full English or Continental, depending on your preference and is served in your room. A vegetarian option is available.

We have excellent onsite parking.

Location

We are located in Twyford, a typical Hampshire village with an excellent travel network. Twyford is only 3 miles from the historic city of Winchester and 10 minutes drive from Southampton Airport. Historic Portsmouth and beautiful Salisbury Cathedral are both within easy reach.

There is a regular bus service into Winchester and Shawford train station is a 15 minute walk away which has links to London (60 minutes away) and local services to Southampton, Portsmouth & Bournemouth.

There are two pubs with restaurants within walking distance of 3 and 15 minutes, each offering a full and varied menu. Twyford Stores and Post Office is open 12 hours a day. In addition to selling almost everything, they have a restaurant, Bean Below, where you can enjoy a relaxed drink or meal inside the restaurant or in the patio garden.

There are many beautiful walks within the area and you can easily walk to Winchester along the River Itchen.

Tariff

£60 per room per night for 2 people sharing, inclusive of breakfast.

Single occupancy is £40 per room per night.

Reservations are normally secured with a 50% deposit by cash or cheque, payable to Orchard House, balance to be paid on arrival.
