Rural Living in the Beautiful Vale of Llangollen
Set in the beautiful Vale of Llangollen, Panorama cottages are a recently completed development at Dinbren Uchaf Farm. Redundant farm buildings have been converted to create three cottages to a high standard. Llangollen itself is a popular tourist destination with its own steam railway, Valle Crucis Abbey, Dinas Bran Castle, a myriad of arts and crafts shops, Canal Center with horse drawn boats and restaurants. It is also host to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in July when musicians and dancers from all over the world congregate in Llangollen to compete. It is easily accessible by road and is a perfect base for excursions to Snowdonia, Roman cities of Chester and Shrewsbury and Anglesey. For further details visit the Llangollen website.
| The Environs
The cottages are only 1.5 miles from Llangollen and lie on the 'Panorama' which is a scenic road that follows and is part of Offa's Dyke. Views from the cottages are unparalleled with Llangollen to the south, Horshoe Pass to the west and Dinas Bran to the East.
Within 5 minutes walk from the cottages up the Eglwyseg Escarpment behind, can be found the following, Bronze Age burial barrows, a Celtic stone circle (mini Stonehenge), limestone kilns, lead mineshafts, World War 2 bomb craters. The escarpment itself is well used by the climbing fraternity due the difficulty of climbing the limestone cliffs. |
The Cottages
Panorama Cottages comprise one 1 bed, one 2 bed and one 3 bed cottage arranged in an 'L' shaped configuration around a natural courtyard.
