For history brought to life take a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, which operates steam trains along an 18 miles stretch of track between Pickering and the village of Grosmont, going straight through the North York Moors National Park. Take in the stunning scenery of the wooded valley and heather moorland whilst admiring the quaint villages and towns. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway is one of the earliest and most historic lines in North England and was an important trade link to Whitby.
