Welcome to The Pier House Hotel and Restaurant. The Pier House was built in 1794 and was originally two farm cottages. It is situated on the picturesque harbour of Charlestown.

Charlestown is an unspoilt port, constructed under the orders of Mr Charles Rashleigh, who later gave his name to the village. At the present time the Port is home to three tall ships that are used for filmmaking, training and sailing.

Over the years Charlestown has been the setting for many television and film productions.

From Charlestown you can take a stroll across the cliff tops to nearby Porthpean Beach and village or to Carolyn Bay in the opposite direction. There are two beaches close to the The Pier House Hotel, where swimming is safe and at low tide the children can enjoy exploring the many rock pools or playing on the beach. There are also two golf courses nearby.

Our restaurant has seating for approximately 100 people on split-levels and has a small dance floor and bar.

We offer a wide selection of mouth-watering dishes from our a la carte menu with a choice of Chef's Specials of the day, including many exciting fish courses made from fresh locally caught fish. We also have a Bistro where there is a very varied menu.

You can enjoy a delicious Cornish cream tea and also why not try our Sunday Lunch Carvery?

We also have a selection of menus for small private parties, functions and wedding breakfasts.

Our public bar is a freehouse and offers some fine real ales and a choice of bar meals.

All our bedrooms are en suite and have colour televisions, direct dial telephone and tea-making facilities.

Many rooms have superb sea or harbour views - or both. We also have family rooms that will sleep two adults and up to three children.

The Pier House Hotel is situated about three miles from the Eden Project and about five miles from The 'Lost Gardens' of Heligan. There are many other wonderful gardens and places to visit in Cornwall.

For Gold enthusiasts, the eighteen-hole, 6500-yard Carolyn Bay Golf Course, St Austell and Porthpean courses are only a short distance away.

All rooms are en-suite, centrally heated with colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and have direct dial telephone. Unlimited WIFI internet access is available in all rooms free of charge.

Prices are per room per night and include a full English breakfast. A deposit of £25 per room is requested when making a reservation. Cancellation policy is up to 12 noon the day prior to arrival.

Please be advised that we have only two rooms on the ground floor which are located in the annexe and are reached by six sloped steps. Most of our rooms are on the first floor with four on the second.
Unfortunately the Hotel does not have a lift.

Our car park for the Hotel is shared with The Rashleigh Arms which is situated approximately 200 yards back up the road from The Pier House.

There is limited parking outside the Hotel during the months of October to end of May.

We have two eating areas. A Bistro which is first come first served and an A La Carte Restaurant which must be pre-booked before arrival. We also have our Harbourside Inn adjacent to the Hotel.

Weekend Breaks: We offer a 20% discount on a two night weekend break (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
