We are a small family run hotel in the on the shores of Loch Ness the village of Fort Augustus, in The Highlands of Scotland.

Attractively situated facing the Abbey, Richmond House is an ideal base for touring to all points of the compass: south to Fort William and Glencoe, west to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye, north and east to Inverness and the Grampians.

With good home Scottish cooking and cosy, comfortable bedrooms the Richmond Hose hotel is very popular with tourist and locals alike.

Ample off street Parking - Bike store and canoe trailer parking also available.

Dine in our Poachers family run bar where there is traditional Scottish bar meals and a friendly smile waiting for you to taste the fine range of traditional malt whiskies, beers and wines.

Bedrooms and Facilities

Our bedrooms are cosy and comfortable and all have colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities.We have two bathrooms with electric showers on the landing.

We have 8 guest rooms in total including:

  • Four double rooms - two en-suite
  • Four twin bedded rooms - three en-suite
  • One single room
  • Two family rooms - each sleeping 4/5
All rooms are centrally heated and have spare power sockets.

Travel cots can be provided on request.

Free WIFI available for those who bring their own laptops.
