SITUATION
Ridgeway farm is situated on the outskirts of Awliscombe, three miles from the town of Honiton. The farm is easily accessible from either the M5 Junction 28, the A30 or the A303, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
The road through the village leads to an Iron Age Settlement at Hembury Fort where you can enjoy quiet walks. Awliscombe and the surrounding villages also offer many bridle paths, woods and byways. The area in which we live is mainly dairy farms and some sheep.
The beaches of Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Beer and Lyme Regis are within easy reach. Each one with a different quality.
There are attractive villages to meander around. Broadhembury and Gittisham with their pretty thatched roofs for instance.
The city of Exeter, with it’s magnificent Cathedral and wide range of shops is only fifteen minutes drive. Exeter also contains underground passages, cinemas and theatres.
We are also lucky enough to be situated for easy access to either Dartmoor or Exmoor. The moors are a perfect place for a picnic and to watch the wild ponies or a hike for those who are more energetic.
We are situated on the edge of the Blackdown Hill which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. |
