Riverbank Cottage is set in a beautiful and tranquil location by the river Teifi, where our guests can enjoy free fishing for salmon and trout. We are open all year round and offer three en-suite bedrooms, each with a different character, and all decorated and furnished to a high standard. The guest sun lounge looks out over the river, with stunning views of the Teifi Valley. Our extensive grounds run right down to the riverbank.

Originally 18th century, the cottage has recently been converted and modernised in a Tudor style, retaining original features such as the oak beams in two of the guest rooms.

We are just 4½ miles from the university town of Lampeter and 6 miles from Tregaron. Ideally set between Aberystwyth and Carmarthen, we are close to both Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains.

Facilities
Bed & Breakfast We offer three well appointed bedrooms, all en-suite and each with a different character. There are two double rooms, and one twin. See the Accommodation Page for details. Breakfast is served in the dining area of the oak-beamed Sun Lounge, from where you can take in the lovely views over the River Teifi. You can enjoy a light breakfast of fruit, cereal, and toast, or tuck in to our full cooked breakfast - organic and locally sourced where possible.
Sun Lounge This light and airy room allows a panoramic view of the River Teifi and its valley. From here, at different times of the year, you can watch Red Kites, Buzzards, Cormorants, Herons and Swans all enjoying the river and the peaceful countryside. In the evening you have use of a guest TV, or you can just relax let the tranquillity of Riverbank Cottage wash over you. There is so little light pollution here that you will have spectacular and romantic views of the night sky, including the Milky Way.

The River Teifi

Perhaps you may wish to stroll along our riverbank and see the fish jumping, the dragonflies buzzing, the ducks and swans paddling, and even a kingfisher fishing. We offer free fishing to our B & B guests, so that you have the opportunity to catch salmon and trout.

Accommodation Our three en-suite guest bedrooms are furnished to the highest standard. Each room has a colour television, hairdryer, radio alarm, and tea & coffee making facilities.
Bedroom 1 Decorated in a soft green, and retaining the original oak beams, this pretty double room offers a well appointed en-suite bathroom. Along with the beautiful canopied bed, the room contains fitted wardrobes, a dressing table, and bedside tables with touch lamps.
Bedroom 2 This large, comfortable double room is decorated in a soft yellow Tudor style, and has a well appointed en-suite bathroom. The romantic four poster bed is complimented by fitted wardrobes, a dressing table, bedside tables with touch lamps, and shelves.
Bedroom 3 With views across the lawn, this twin room features Tudor style wooden beams, and a well appointed en-suite shower room. In addition to the two four poster beds, the room contains a free standing wardrobe, dressing table, and over-bed lights.

Tariff

The charge per room includes a full breakfast, exclusive use of the guest Sun Lounge, the freedom to walk in our extensive grounds including access to the riverbank, and free fishing.
