Rowley Hill LodgeRowley Hill Lodge was built originally in 1830, as the lodge to the nearby farmhouse. Over the last 10 years, it has been much modernised and enlarged while still retaining its considerable character.
The house is set in its own secluded garden in which are free-range hens and a dovecote - about one mile (1.5km) north-east of Saffron Walden. Views from both guest rooms stretch across open countryside.Garden
BedroomEach bedroom - twin and double - has its own bathroom (including bath and powerful shower), colour television, and tea/coffee making equipment.
Breakfast is served in the dining room; and you are welcome to use the sitting room if you wish.Our aim is to provide guests with modern facilities in an old house, set in peaceful surroundings - only a few minutes from the delightful old town of Saffron Walden.Dining Room

HOW TO GET THERE

From the North
Exit 10 off the M11 (A505 left, eastwards). First roundabout, right, B1301 to Saffron Walden (B184) over a series of roundabouts.

From the South
Exit 9 off M11. Several roundabouts, follow signs to Saffron Walden (B184).

Approach Saffron Walden (approx. 5 miles) down long hill. At bottom is "Eight Bells" pub on left. 50 metres beyond pub, turn left, Castle Street. At end (400 metres), left, Little Walden Road.

1 1/4 miles to Rowley Hill Lodge - a solitary house, painted cream, with white fence and three tall chimneys - on the left.Look for reflective markers.
