Welcome

Russet House is a large, comfortable Victorian house situated in the heart of Ledbury, only a short stroll from the centre of town and all its amenities, yet in a very quiet road. Belle Orchard is a turning off 'The Homend', which itself is a continuation of the High Street. The railway station and many bus routes are within easy reach.

We - Peter and Anne Scull, the owners of Russet House - started this Bed and Breakfast business in the summer of 2004. Following inspection, we were awarded 4 Diamonds status by the English Tourism Council in November 2004. We are now working hard to maintain this status and aim at continuous improvement.

The Area

Ledbury is an ancient market town full of interest and famous for its black and white architecture. In the wide Homend and High Street, unchanged for hundreds of years and down picturesque lanes, are a variety of small shops selling high quality products of all sorts. Many small shops, historic buildings, pubs, numerous eating places and a supermarket are all within easy walking distance of Russet House.

Ledbury is an ideal base for touring, walking and cycling. The Malvern hills, Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester are all within easy reach. The Visit Ledbury web-site gives some further ideas of places to visit.

Accommodation

We have two bedrooms comfortably furnished for bed and breakfast.

Bedroom 1

This is a large room with a king size double bed and a single bed, suitable for two people, or two people with a child. You will have exclusive use of the bathroom with this room, which has a shower and a bath.

Bedroom 2

This room has two single beds and full en-suite facilities.

Included in both bedrooms are: T.V., radio/alarm, central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, towels.

A choice of breakfasts is offered, including full English, vegetarian or continental. Our food is sourced locally as far as possible. Our marmalade and jam is home made, and honey is from our own bees.

For the benefit of the majority of guests, no smoking is permitted in the house.

Double Occupancy - £30.00 - £32.50 per person per night
Single Occupancy - £35.00 - £45.00 per person per night

10% reduction for stays of 4 or more nights

Services

Along with a normal Bed and Breakfast, we offer further services, as follows:

1. For walkers, and guests planning walks.

Walk from A to B and we will drive you to the beginning of your walk and meet you at the end. This service is especially useful for the Malvern Hills.
For those with limited time or knowledge of this area, we offer guided walks. We decide the location and distance with you. We can also give ideas of where to walk and loan maps and guide books where available.
A luggage transfer can be arranged for those on walking trips.

2. For cyclists.

Safe, secure storage for bikes is available, along with advice and ideas for days out. (A cycle repair shop is near, should any serious problems arise!)
