The Shrewsbury is ideally situated a short walk (approx. 300 yards) from the sea front and four minutes through the park to the town centre and market square.

An ideal guesthouse that is perfectly located for either business or pleasure. The Shrewsbury has been graded by Visit Britain and awarded 3 diamonds.
We are a non-smoking guesthouse.
Family owned and run, as new owners we are currently refurbishing the eight bedroomed Shrewsbury to the highest possible standard. Phase one is now completed and we can now boast two deluxe rooms, one of which has a four poster bed. Phase two is due to start at the end of the season and by next year we should be able to offer two family suites.
We will try to make your stay at the Shrewsbury as comfortable as possible. If you are coming by train or coach please let us know and we will arrange to collect you from the station or coach park. |
The Shrewsbury Guest House Rooms
The Shrewsbury offers 6 en-suite bedrooms comprising of two deluxe rooms, two double rooms and two twin rooms. Our two single rooms share a bathroom.
All rooms are equipped with colour TV, complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, toiletries and a clock Radio. Deluxe rooms also have a 20" TV, DVD and freeview.
Ironing facilities are available on request.
All rooms are non-smoking.
Dining Room
Complimentary tea or coffee is served on arrival in our comfortable dining room.
 Breakfast is available between 8-9am. Guests are invited to help themselves to cereal, yoghurt; juice etc and a full English cooked breakfast will be served shortly thereafter.

Tariff
All prices are based on a bed and breakfast basis and are per room per night. We are a family guest house and do not cater for all male / female groups.
We accept cash, cheques and all major credit/debit cards (please note: A surcharge of 4% will be charged for payments by card due to increasing bank charges. Cheques are only accepted 7 days prior to arrival)
Single Person Discount - When there is a single occupant in a double or twin room, there is a maximum discount of £20.00 per night.
Special rates available for O.A.P.'s on request.

What's on in Great Yarmouth?
Great Yarmouth has a great deal to offer with various attractions to suit all. The Golden Mile with its restaurants, nightclubs and amusements is just a short walk from the Shrewsbury or five minutes walk will find you in the town centre with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants.
Firework displays have now become a regular event in Great Yarmouth on Wednesday nights, the fun starts at 8pm with a musical road show on the jetty at Marine Parade followed by fireworks at approximately 10 p.m. Displays will take place from 26th July to 30th August.
The area of Great Yarmouth includes Gorleston on Sea and twenty-one villages that are set in beautiful coastal and rural settings alongside the famous Norfolk Broads. The surrounding countryside beckons with historic houses, fine gardens, wildlife parks, castles, crafts and bygone day's collections to visit.

Historic South Quay (www.great-yarmouth.co.uk) Plenty to see and do along the Quayside which hosts a wealth of museums and period properties. The town has a rich maritime and fishing heritage and you can explore some of its oldest buildings and discover how the rich and poor people lived and worked on the vibrant quayside.
Time and Tide Museum (01493-743930) Experience life in a typical row or on the quayside in heydays of the 1950's. Follow Great Yarmouth's transformation from a sandbank to the present day, celebrating the town's rich and unique maritime and fishing heritage.
Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens (www.thrigbyhall.co.uk) A wonderful collection of Asian mammals, birds and reptiles which are housed in the landscaped grounds and gardens of Thrigby Hall. A very enjoyable day out for all the family.
