Location:

Southwood House is situated in the popular Isle of Wight resort of Sandown. Being set on a quieter back street only room from the sea front and within walking distance to all the local shops, bars, amusements, cliff walks, pier and restaurants Southwood House has the ideal position to base yourself for your Isle of Wight holiday. Both the bus stops and train stations to most destinations on the Island are within a 10 min walk.

The House:

A new bed and breakfast for the 2004 season, this spacious Victorian house has been tastefully transformed to accommodate five double and twin rooms all with brand new en-suite facilities with showers. One of the rooms serves as a family bedroom, with an adjoining that's a bunkbed and a single bed to accommodate a young family. Each room has been decorated individually, so on your return visits do request another room, you will eventually have a favorite. The usual refinements of colour TV and coffee making facilities are provided in all the rooms.

Food:

Breakfast is served in the traditional way of juices, cereals, toast and the full fried English Breakfast. Daily traditional breakfast specials are available so do ask. If you are planning a full day out pack lunches are available, just let Nigel know the night before and they will be prepared ready or the next morning. Having been on the island for over 20 years (living and summer holidays!) Nigel can recommend some of the best pubs and restaurants to eat and drink in the evenings, quite beaches and long scenic walks.
