My wife Norma, and I would like to invite you and your family to our friendly Bed & Breakfast

All guests are welcomed to Star House with a friendly smile and refreshments that include a hot or cold drink, and a choice of home cooked bread pudding or cake. We offer a relaxed environment that has no curfews as our guests are offered their own set of keys for the duration of their stay.

Located on a residential street, Star House is a Terraced Victorian House with private forecourt parking.
With easy access to Docklands Light Railway & Mainline trains
Star House is ideally located for business or entertainment trips into Central London and the West End which are only a 20 minute journey.
Enjoy an evening of live entertainment during your stay at Starhouse, by taking a trip to the local, or west end theatres.

Many UK Museums have dropped or reduced the entry fees. So now is the best time to make a visit to one of Londons most popular tourist spots.

On entering Star House, you will see that it is a themed house, based on our love of classic black and white movies. We pride ourselves on being able to provide a home from home atmosphere.

The bedrooms are always kept clean and comfortable.

All of the bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for clothes etc.

There is also a Television in each room.

For your comfort we also supply biscuits along with tea and coffee making facilities.

Two shower rooms are provided. Both offer total privacy and have wash basins and WC's. Fresh clean towelling and toiletries are also provided.

Price includes

A selection of breakfast cereals, Yoghurts, croissants, muffins, bread/toast with jams and preserves, fresh fruit.

A large cooked breakfast (or packed lunch) is available for a small extra charge

Arrival by Train from London Charing Cross Station into Hither Green Station (only a 15-20 minute journey)

Exit Hither Green Station from platform 5. Walk down the slope and turn left into Springbank road. Take the second right into Torriden road and carry on until you reach the traffic lights.Turn left into Hither Green lane, walk 50 yards and you will find us on the right.

Arrival by Underground train.

Take underground train via docklands light railway to Lewisham station and then on to Star House by Black cab

Arrival by car from the M25

Take A20 (or A2) for 8 miles, then turn left onto A205 South Circular Road. After 1.0 miles from A20 (or 1.7 miles from A2) there is an overhead railway bridge with a "Bestway" sign. HITHER GREEN is first right after Railway. During the Day, there is no right turn there, so take second right into Well Meadow Road. Take the left into Hither Green Lane and we are 100 metres on the left - park on our forecourt.

Directions from Heathrow Airport

Use the underground Piccadilly line train service from Heathrow to Leicester Square.
At Leicester Sqr change onto the Northen line service to Charing cross. At Charing cross leave the underground train service and go to the British rail service upstairs, take a train from here to Lewisham Station. When you arrive at Lewisham you may get a taxi to Star House which is only a short journey from the station, or catch a 181 Bus and ask the driver to let you off at Hither Green lane by the traffic lights

Directions from Gatwick Airport

Get a Train to London Bridge Station, from there get a train to Lewisham station. When you arrive at Lewisham you may get a taxi to Star House which is only a short journey from the station, or catch a 181 Bus and ask the driver to let you off at Hither Green lane by the traffic lights.
