Steppes Farm is ideally situated for a relaxing break in the country.![]() Now you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Steppes Farm whilst having the luxury of your breakfast cooked for you by the resident chef at our adjacent Stonemill Restaurant. Although no longer a working farm, our rooms have been designed and restored to conserve many original structures, such as the old oak beams and timbers, and so retain much of their traditional elements of construction. Set in approximately four acres of landscaped grounds, there are chairs and benches for you to sit out, relax and enjoy the splendid views. Two grassed paddocks provide an excellent recreation area, and there are goats and ducks for the children to play with. We are only two miles from the historic town of Monmouth on the fringe of the hamlet of Rockfield where the Wye and Monnow River Valleys meet the Vale of Usk. Here is a land waiting to be discovered. The countryside is so rich in scenery, colour, history and folklore and all from such an excellent touring base. |

| About Steppes Farm Although no longer a working farm, our cottages retain much of their traditional elements of construction. The farmhouse and main buildings date from the 17th century, while the Cider Mill with original press and stonemill wheel is of 15th century origin. Old World Charm and Country Atmosphere The cottages have been architect designed and lovingly restored, conserving many original structures, such as the old oak beams and timbers. These and other features are combined with stylish interior designs of an exceptionally high standard to create the perfect atmosphere for rest and relaxation.

Electricity and Heating Each cottage has heating and hot water included in its tariff. Linen Beds are made up for your arrival. Bedding includes a duvet and linen with extra blankets provided. Tea towels are provided but you are requested to bring your own personal towels. Service Room Each cottage has its own key to a discrete service room with a deep freeze for bulk food storage. A dial-out telephone service and laundry facilities are also available. Groceries and Provisions There are excellent shopping facilities in nearby Monmouth. Fresh eggs from our own chickens and ducks are available from the farmhouse. Parking Good garage and parking facilities are allocated to each cottage.
