Welcome to St. Mark's Country House Accommodation and home to Creative Leisure. Built in 1872 as the vicarage for Cautley Church and now a Listed Building, the house enjoys a magnificent setting. St. Mark's also represents a convenient base for visiting Sedbergh, England's book town and the many other attractions of the Lake District, Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales.
Simply enjoy the slow pace and atmosphere of our beautiful unspoilt countryside with its fells, streams, wildlife and flowers which surround St. Mark's. Situated in the dale of Cautley within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the views overlook the River Rawthey and the imposing Eastern flank of the Howgill Fells.
In addition perhaps visit: Cautley Spout, Sedbergh, Farfield Mill, Holme Open Farm, Dent Village and Craft Centre, Settle to Carlisle Railway, Hawes Ropemaker and Dales Folk Museum, Abbot Hall Art Gallery and Museum, Levens Hall and Topiary Garden, The Quaker Tapestry, Sizergh Castle, Appleby Castle. |
