TEGFAN HOUSE Bed and breakfast, holiday cottage and art courses in Pembrokeshire (www.tegfanhouse.co.uk) |

Tegfan House is in the small village of Llawhaden, just north of Narberth in the heart of Pembrokeshire.
The village lies just outside the boundary of the National Coast Park as it comes inland to the ancient woodlands, tidal creeks and estuaries of the Cleddau rivers. Llawhaden is an ancient village which in medieval times was on the pilgrimage trail to St Davids. It lies along the imaginary Landsker line, the historic border between the Welsh north of the country and the English south - the once impressive Llawhaden castle was a major fortress for the influential bishops of St Davids, and the castle ruins dominate the village. |
For walkers, the village lies on the Landsker Borderlands trail, a 60 mile circular walk through the Pembrokeshire countryside, but if you don't want to walk that far, a network of footpaths and bridleways around the village has plenty to offer.
For horseriders, bridleways around the village and through the nearby Canaston Woods take you through beautiful countryside and away from traffic. There is a Western style riding stables nearby which offers long or short rides (www.sycamoresranch.com).
For fishing enthusiasts, the Eastern Cleddau has salmon and sea trout and just outside the village lies a coarse fishery run by champion fisherman Ian Heaps (www.ianheaps.com)
Within half an hour's drive by car: Tenby and the beaches of the south coast, Pembroke Castle and Pembroke Dock, the creeks and bays of Milford Haven estuary The Preseli hills and spectacular headlands of the north coast
For family entertainment, Oakwood leisure park is 3 miles from Llawhaden. (www.oakwood-leisure.com) |
| Narberth has the nearest railway station if you're on foot or with bicycles (we can collect you from the station 3 miles away) |

| Tegfan House offers two comfortable twin rooms with great views. Bedrooms have tea/coffee making facilities and tv. A self contained two bedroomed holiday let, ideal for families, will be available later in the year. |

How to find us: From Camarthen head west on the A40 towards Haverfordwest. After passing through Robeston Wathen, at the bottom of the hill take a right turn signposted Llawhaden and castle. After just over a mile you come to a junction in the village. Tegfan House is on the right hand corner of this junction; turn sharp right into the drive where there is plenty of parking.
