Originally a 16th Century Coaching Inn, today The Crown continues its tradition of warm hospitality with excellent accommodation and outstanding food for which it is so well known.The Crown is the ideal place for discerning people in search of not only the quiet life, but the good life. Dining at the Crown
Decorated and furnished to provide a perfect setting. Our new restaurant extension now adds a further 30 places for you to enjoy our cuisine.
Cooking is up-to-date and imaginatively prepared with seasoned menus using fresh lock produce, specializing in local meats and game.
Our thoughtful wine list is put together using local merchants and includes a wide range of fine Ports, Armagnacs and Cognacs, all selected to complement your meal, whatever the occasion.
You can also relax in our Rent Room Restaurant off the traditional bar. Traditional pine kitchen style seating with relaxing views. Daily menus, lite bites and specials.

Staying over at the Crown
We offer a selection of premium rooms with a wide range of décor and styles. Traditional accommodation is located in the main building offering seven country style rooms all with premium up-to-date bathrooms.
Contemporary style up-to-date accommodation is offered in our newly built cottage adjacent to the original inn, overlooking the gardens and pond, with private garden to the rear. A selection of 11 tastefully created rooms are in-keeping but with more modern influences and décor.
